An easy candy recipe for Christmas. Put them on trays and they look
like they took a lot of work but are easy, easy, easy!
2 packages (3-oz each) strawberry gelatin powder
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup shredded coconut (the short strand kind works best)
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
red and green crystalized sugar
green food color
Mix the first 5 ingredients together and shape into little
strawberries. Roll in red sugar. Dip the tops in green sugar. For
stems, dip the slivered almonds in green food color before inserting
into candies. Chill to set, then store in airtight container.
Makes about 3 dozen
